Bathroom Refurbishment Stow

Bathroom Refurbishment Stow

A recent project by Kingham Bathrooms was to strip out and refurb an unusual ensuite in Stow on the Wold.

The project included a complete clear out of a tired looking bathroom suite and the installation of a new bath, wash hand basin and modern WC unit

New Oak flooring was laid and a stunning wall was created using midnight blue herringbone ceramic tiles.

Although the client initially described the projects as a bathroom refurb, they ended up with a stunning new bathroom and were really pleased with the finished result.

General sequence of events for a bathroom refurbishment project:

  • Determine what changes you want to make to your bathroom and identify your priorities.
  • Decide on a budget for your refurbishment project to help guide your decisions.
  • Plan the layout and design of your new bathroom, considering factors such as the available space, plumbing, and electrical requirements.
  • Select the fixtures, fittings, and finishes you want to include in your new bathroom, such as the toilet, sink, shower, bathtub, faucets, and accessories.
  • Demolish and remove the existing fixtures, fittings, and finishes from your bathroom.
  • Install or modify the plumbing and electrical systems as needed for your new bathroom layout.
  • Apply wall tiles or other wall coverings to protect the walls and create the desired aesthetic.
  • Lay the flooring material of your choice, ensuring it is suitable for bathroom use.
  • Install the final plumbing fixtures, such as the toilet, sink, shower, and bathtub, and connect them to the plumbing system. Complete the electrical work, including installing light fixtures, switches, and outlets.
  • Paint the walls, apply any additional decorative finishes, and add the finishing touches to complete your refurbished bathroom.

Pete at Kingham Bathrooms is a great communicator, has a strong work ethic and installed a beautiful shower in a corner of a bedroom in a fairly small space. We are so happy with it and his suggestion of porcelain floor boards looks great, as do the tiles he suggested as a response to our brief. Everything was on budget and on time. I would highly recommend Kingham Bathrooms.

Pete is a great man. Our bathroom was terrible, now it’s splendid. Very tidy, acute eye for detail and a cheerful service all round. Highly recommended.

After careful consideration into who to use for my shower-room refit, I was recommended to use Pete by my daughter. Pete came up to London for around 2 weeks and refurbished our shower room in Kew Gardens. We found Pete trustworthy, cheerful and easy to work with we would use again.Juliet
